iKMC Film 11 – Immediate KMC and transfer to the NICU

This film shows the journey of the baby from the delivery suite to the NICU, already in skin-to-skin. It also shows the importance of NICUs reaching out to train staff at other health facilities where preterm babies are born. It is vital that transfers between health facilities are made in the KMC position, otherwise babies will be at severe risk of hypothermia when they arrive in the NICU.
