This film explains the main complications of diabetes in the eyes, kidneys and feet. It shows methods for preventing and diagnosing diabetes complications and outlines possible treatments. This all told through the stories of patients in Malawi.

This is the sixth of seven films forming the backbone of a complete diabetes course for Malawi, aimed at clinicians, health workers, expert patients and others affected by diabetes. It was produced in collaboration with the Diabetes team at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre and the Diabetes Association of Malawi (DAM). DAM also contributed to the funding of this project. Total running time of all seven films is around 2 hours ten minutes.

This is a set of seven films which form the backbone of a course to teach about diabetes for Clinicians, Health Care Workers, Patients and others affected by diabetes. They were filmed in Malawi, with the diabetes team at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre, but could be adapted for other countries in Africa.
